Ed: -rapid push-ups-

Al: He's in his room, if you want, I'll see if you can go see him so youre not stuck waiting with me for him...*smiles a bit*

Kane: ...*smiles a bit* Alright...

Al: *nods and walks to Ed's door, -Iimagineitsabitajar-, knocks* hey, Ed?

Ed: -pauses in the uppermost position-..yeah?

Al: Kane's here to see you. I was wondering if I should send her in or no?

Ed: Oh..yeah, send her in, that's fine.

Al: Alright. *nods to himself and turns to head back to the living room* Kane?

Kane: *looks up* yeah?

Al: You can go in...*smiles* his room is the second door on the left. *sits on the couch and picks up a paper*

Kane: *nods* thanks, Alfons *smiles and walks to the door, pushing it open just enough to slip inside* Hey, Ed...-oohesshirtless-

Ed: -does another pushup before sitting back on his knees a bit, smiles- Hey..wasn't expecting to see you..

Kane: *smiles some* I decided to stop by, I had the time since Im not working today.....*flushes a bit and looks surreptitiously between his face and chest*

Ed: I'm glad -smiles a bit wider- It's nice to see you...-reaches over and picks up a hand towel, pats his forehead with it-

Kane: Its nice to see you, too...-verynicefromwhereimstanding- did I interrupt you?

Ed: No, not really...I was just getting a little excercise.

Kane: ....*blinks* your arm can handle that much? *glances at the brace*

Ed: Oh..yeah...but mostly it's just for stability -leans down again, and does another push-up- you can hear it strain a little when I do that but it's better for my shoulders than this -lifts his right arm behind his back and does it one handed-

Kane: ah....I see.....*stares at him -notsosurreptitiously-, a bit like '..oohesstrong' when he starts the pushups one-handed, blushing faintly*

Ed: -does another before sitting back again- but it's no interruption, not like I can't do this some other time..

Kane: -stillstaring- y..you can continue if you want...I dont mind...

Ed: You sure? I can do it and talk at the same time fine..although -stands up and walks over to her-..I haven't even greeted you properly yet..

Kane: *looks up at him when he stands* yeah, im sure...*smiles a bit* and im not stopping you from doing so....

Ed: Good..-smiles and rests his hands on her waist, leaning down to kiss her softly-

Kane: *kisses him back gently, smiling a bit into the kiss, moves her hand to gently place it on his jaw, moving her thumb against his cheek*

Ed: -kisses her for a few moments longer before pulling back- Mm..that's better.

Kane: *smiles some* Much better...*gently moves her hand against his jaw*

Ed: -leans into her hand a bit- How goes the day? -smiles-

Kane: *continues gently moving her hand* Fairly slowly until I got here....

Ed: Well..I'm glad you're here -kisses her forehead- it's a nice surprise..

Kane: *smiles some and moves her hand beneath his jaw* I'm glad to be here with you...*gently pulls him closer and kisses him softly*

Ed: -kisses her back slowly, moves his left hand around her back gently, pulls her closer too him-

Kane: *steps a bit closer to him and continues to kiss him, slides her hand down his neck and rests it on top of his shoulder*

Ed: -strokes his hand slowly up and down her back, pulling away gently only when he has to breathe-..This is rapidly becoming my favourite past time..

Kane: *curls her back a bit into his hand, smiles a bit when she looks at him* I'd have to agree...it's the same for me.

Ed: -smiles- As much as I love reading it's just not as much fun -kisses her again quickly-

Kane: *smiles a bit and kisses him back* no, its not, is it?

Ed: No, not nearly...-slips his other hand around her back, too, hooking his fingers together-

Kane: *shakes head* Definitely not...*moves a bit closer to him and moves her hand downward against his skin and around his waist, pulling him gently into a hug as she rests her head against his chest*

Ed: -slides one hand up to her shoulders and rubs her back gently- How're you feeling today? -youknowwhatImean-

Kane: Im fine...*moves her head against his chest a bit*

Ed: -continues to rub her back- That's good..

Kane: *nods a bit* it's actually been a good week....*relaxes a bit* -shelikesthebackrubbingXD-

Ed: Yeah? That's good to hear. Hope you haven't been alone too much -withherunclealwaysbeinggone- -bit of a smile-

Kane: *shakes head* not much....my uncle is going to be sent to England for a couple of weeks in a few days, though....for his job.

Ed: Oh...well..you'll just have to spend more time with me then.

Kane: *tilts her head up to look at him* Can I? *smiles a bit*

Ed: Can you? -small laugh, hugs her a bit tighter- You better.

Kane: *smile turns closer to a bit of beam, shifts her arm a bit to rest her hand on his opposite hip* I will...I promise...

Ed: Good..-rubs her back gently- I'd like to see you more often..

Kane: I'd love to see you more often...*shivers very slightly, shifts her head against his skin, a bit against the brace* ...that feels nice...-thebackrub-

Ed: Yes? Glad to hear it..-continues to move his hand slowly-

Kane: mhm....*nuzzles against him a bit, closes eyes and relaxes some*

Ed: -smiles softly, still rubbing her back gently- You know...I've been thinking about you a lot lately..

Kane: you have?

Ed: Yeah...nothing particular...just you.

Kane: Just me? *tilts head back to look at him*

Ed: Yeah...-kisses her forehead before resting his cheek on the top of her head- uh..just..yeah. -Idon'tknowwhyIsaidthat><-

Kane: *smiles a bit before laughing quietly* Lost your train of though?

Ed: Uh..-small laugh- yeah, that's it..

Kane: *continues to chuckle quietly* It happens...

Ed: Yeah, it does, sorry -laughs a bit again-

Kane: *grins some* no need to apologize...

Ed: Thanks -smiles a bit, kisses the top of her head and pulls back just a little-

Kane: *pulls back a bit, too and quickly glances down at his chest before looking back at him* You never told me you were this attractive....-realizationhits- .....oo -Ijustsaidthat- *turns quite red in embarassment and pulls her hand from around his back and holds her fingers in front of her mouth*

Ed: -oo........blinks-....well...the, uh, thought..never really crossed my mind..?

Kane: ...-staysblushed- ....s...sorry...about that....*blinks a few times* I uh...thought that'd stayed in my head...

Ed: Yeah..uhm..don't..be sorry, no reason for it..Uh....thanks.

Kane: *lowers hand* youre welcome...its uh...true, you know...

Ed: Thank you...I..wouldn't exactly have put it that way..-small laugh, still blushing-

Kane: *raises her eyebrows slightly* how would you have put it?

Ed:...I don't know, I probably wouldn't have said it at all..?

Kane: *smiles slightly* well...you are...*stays blushing*

Ed: -blushes deeper-..thank you, again..I mean...-deep breath, bit of a sigh, slides his hand up to brush her bangs back- You're beautiful you know?

Kane: *blushes a bit deeper* I..uh...*blinks* you've mentioned it before..*tilts her head a bit towards his hand*

Ed: -curves his hand against her cheek gently- Maybe I should mention it more..

Kane: *swallows* I..uh...I wont stop you...

Ed: Good...-strokes his fingers over her cheek-...you're beautiful..

Kane: *smiles a bit and leans her jaw against his hand a bit* th..thanks...

Ed:..Yeah, no problem...-moves his hand a bit before pulling back some, tiny frown-

Kane: *looks at him, raises eyebrows a little bit* what is it?

Ed: Huh?..oh, nothing. -getsridoffrown- Really.

Kane: ..*blinks* you sure...?

Ed: Yeah, I was just..well I was doing something -small, humourless laugh, sort of gestures to where he was on the floor-

Kane: *nods* you can go back to that. I'm not stopping you...

Ed: Uh, yeah, thanks...-drops back to the floor and begins his regime again vigorously-

Kane: *nods and backs a bit against the wall, leaning against it and watching him*

Ed: -silently continues- -btwthatsallhe'sgonnadonowXD-

Kane: *watches him silently*

[Ed continues on in silence for about thirty minutes, Kane, a bit put-off, left after ten.]

Al: *reading*

Ed: -comes out of his room and heads for the kitchen-

Al: *looks up, folds the paper* hey...

Ed: -looks over- Hey..-continues towards the kitchen-

Al: How'd your exercising go?

Ed: Fine...a bit tired now -gets a glass of water-

Al: Thats good...Kane left about twenty minutes ago...*folds the paper in half and looks down at an article*

Ed: Yeah...I noticed

Al: *doesnt look up* she seemed a bit tense compared to when she first arrived...

Ed: Did she? -drinks his water, hiding a bit of a frown-

Al: A bit, yeah....*flips paper over* did something happen?

Ed: No, nothing happened. -litterally-

Al: ....*blinks* ...she seemed...off. I wouldnt say annoyed, but...close....

Ed: Oh..

Al: ...*looks up, questioning expression*

Ed: -looking off into space, takes another drink of his water-...I'll be in my room.

Al: ....you sure nothing happend? she didnt seem right...

Ed: What do you mean..?

Al: *shrugs* cant really describe it. like I said earlier, she seemed off...

Ed: Things just got..quiet.

Al: ....*raises eyebrows* any reason?

Ed: No.

Al: she left abruptly and was rather short when she said goodbye. did she say if anything was bothering her?

Ed: No, she didn't.

Al: ....what did you two do? -orsay-

Ed: ..Nothing.

Al: ...did you continue exercising when she was there? or only after she left?

Ed: While...but not the whole time.

Al: .....*thinks* I think you may have unintentionally seemed like a jerk to her...*shrugs a bit, smiling a little -he'sabitamusedXD-*

Ed:...Probably.

Al: ...the way you said that it comes off like you were /trying/ to be....

Ed: Not...trying.

Al: .....you should apologize to her...because you probably came off like a jerk...

Ed:......

Al: ...well...you should...-ifyoudontmindmysaying-

Ed:...Probably not. I'll be in my room. -heads that direction-

Al: you should...*stands up, follows him by about seven feet* I'm sure it'd make her feel better..

Ed: It's probably...better if she's angry with me.

Al: ....*blinks, puts hands in pockets* ...why's that...? -wasntexpectingthat-

Ed: Because then she probably won't want to talk to me.

Al: ....wouldnt you /want/ her to talk to you?

Ed: ........................................................................yes. And no.

Al: ....what's that supposed to mean?

Ed: ......I want her to talk to me, yes. But I shouldn't...

Al: ....why?

Ed:..because....it's confusing, nevermind it.

Al: ....go talk to her.

Ed: Can't.

Al: ...well then try...or something.

Ed: .........-frowns-

Al: go after her and /try/ talking to her to let her know you care about her. -hardlookthatonlyAlphonsecouldmakepreviously-

Ed: It won't.....I...can't..-><-

Al: Try! Must I spell it out for you? The least you can do is try, otherwise you'll never accomplish something you werent sure you could do or not in the first place.

Ed: I can't tell her the truth.

Al: ...she's your /girlfriend/. if theres one person a guy should be able anything to, its the woman in his life!

Ed: Well, you know what? I can't and it's not fucking fair but it's not my fault either! -storms back into his room and slams the door-

Al: *wouldverymuchliketoswooshhishandoverhisheadrightnow* ...

Over a few days, Ed maintains his cold, untalkative mood, towards everyone, including Alfons and Kane. Finally, Kane calls him up because she's worried, and asks him to come over]

Kane: -gonnasayshecalled?- *waiting at the table in the kitchen*

Ed: -hesitates at the door for a few moments before eventually knocking-

Kane: ...*stands up and walks forward, opening it* ...hey.

Ed: ..Hey..you wanted to talk to me..?

Kane: ...*nods some* Yeah...I did...*opens door a bit wider* come in...

Ed:...Alright -steps inside- What about?

Kane: well...you've been kind of off the past few days....I've been a bit worried...

Ed: Oh..yeah. It's nothing to worry about..

Kane: ...*raises eyebrows* -Iobviouslydontbelieveyou-

Ed:..Really.

Kane: ....*shakes head* I dont believe that...at all...-pointblankisbestXD-

Ed: ..I know.

Kane: ....then something's wrong...what is it...?

Ed: I...don't know. -does-

Kane: ....I dont believe that, either...

Ed:...You know...nevermind.

Kane: ...Ed...you can tell me...

Ed: I told you....the whole story about my brother..right?

Kane: ...yes...you did....

Ed:...Al's always been the most important thing in the world to me...and you know...that I have to get back to my world, I have to know..what happened to him.

Kane: ....*nods* yeah...thats understandable...

Ed:...You know...I want to believe this world is a dream. That I'm temporarily insane and soon I'm going to wake up from it, and I'll be home, and I'll know what happened...or this world isn't a dream...and I'm not insane, or I am and my world doesn't exsist..and it's not fucking fair...but you've done something to me.

Kane: ...*blinks* ..wh..what have I done....?

Ed: You...-takes a deep breath-..I really do have to know what happened to Al, he's my brother...but...the option is...if this world is a dream and I do wake up you were a dream, too...and you...if this is a dream. You make me never want to wake up.

Kane: ......-quiet- ...Ed....this place is real....I'm real...everything here....its real.....not a part of a dream....youre real, too, Ed....and...youre not dreaming...

Ed: How can I know? How can two worlds live side by side and neither ever know about each other?

Kane: ....-quiet- ....im real, Ed.....im not some dream....you dont have any slumber...to awaken from. you're awake already...if you werent awake....and if I was just a fragment of a dream...I know I wouldnt be able to feel how I do about you....I couldnt...at all...

Ed: I wanted to believe this was a dream, because then getting home would be as simple as waking up but....I..don't want that anymore...

Kane: .....I.....you.....your home....me...*moves her hand to the bow at the edge of the V-cut of her neck* ....-basicallyjustbeingtoldthat=swampKanesbrainplzshe'stryingtothinkXD-

Ed: ....-stares at her blanky, doesn't say anything- -thamadenosenseXD-

Kane: ...*looks up at him* ....*swallows, speaks quietly* ....I love you, Ed....-thisspurredthatXD- I dont want you to leave....its...so selfish of me to say that...but...its the truth....I dont think I'd....be able to be so many things without you.......I dont want to be without you...

Ed: I don't want to leave either.........no, that's not true, I do want to leave but I want to take you with me. It's why...I tried to push you away. Because I knew either I'd leave and you'd be hurt or I'd wake up and I wouldn't be able to stand it. You...I don't want to lose you, either way...

Kane: ...*swallows* ...youre not asleep...*shakes head* you wont need to wake up...you wont need to stand anything...*curls her fingers around the bow a bit* ....I dont want to loose you, either....since you dont have anything to wake up from....then you can find something that gets you back....I know you can...and you'll never loose me....

Ed: I still....can't believe you don't think I'm insane

Kane: Well, I dont...and never will...

Ed: You're so amazing....It's part of why I have trouble believing you're real -small laugh-..

Kane: *smiles a bit* Well...I am...dont know...how to prove that to you

Ed: You don't need to prove anything...I'm just...having one of those moments -briefinsanemomentsXD-

Kane: ....*holds the small smile* y..yeah...-doyouneedsavingfromsaidmoment?-

Ed: -swallows-..................................................-quietly- you love me..?

Kane: ...! *swallows* -ohyeahthatslippedout- ....yeah...*blushes some, looks back up at him* I love you...

Ed: I can't...I mean..you know I love you, too, right..?

Kane: ...I *swallows agains and nods* I do...

Ed: Good...Because I do...I love you very much.

Kane: .....*smiles some, letting it grow a bit* I....thats...-wow8D- ....thats..amazing....-tohearsomebodysaythatc:-

Ed: You're amazing, Kane...you're intelligent, down to earth, beautiful, caring...you're perfect, and I don't know how, of all the people in this world...I was lucky enough to meet you.

Kane: ...*jaw slacks slightly and blushes a bit* ....I...*pauses* there are so many things..that I could say about you...so many things I want to say....but I couldnt possibly do that in a timely manner....youre the best thing...thats ever happened to me. I thought my luck was the worst...anybody could have. But meeting you...I know I was wrong...I never would have dreamed that somebody like you would become a part of my life...

Ed: You're right, you know? I could never have dreamed someone like you...I could never have dreamed I'd be this lucky, I don't like myself that much.

Kane: ...*swallows* you should like yourself that much...you derve so much more than you give yourself credit for. I'm the one that cant hardly believe it...you're so much more than I imagined would even happen in my life...something so much better than anything thats previously happened...-itslikeacurseorsomethingsbeenlifted-

Ed: -reaches out and takes her hands, pulling her towards him a bit- Kane...you have no idea...I'm not as much as you stack me up to be, I'm selfish, a sinner, I've killed for personal gain...comparedto me you're a saint and I'm only lucky that you'll even look at me let alone love me.

Kane: *shakes her head, steps closer to him, turning her left hand to hold his* You are as much as I stack you up to be...because even though what you just said is true, none of that matters to me...I dont care if youre any of that, because thats part of who you are, and who you are is who I love.

Ed: You're amazing..and...I can't tell you what it means to hear you say that.

Kane: *smiles a bit* Its true...I mean it...it doesnt matter what somebody's done or said, or whats happened to them in their life...its a part of who they are, and it makes them into the person theyve become...and thats the most important thing of all...

Ed: That you....believe that is even impressive and it means so much to me...It just makes me love you even more.

Kane: ....*blushes slightly, moves her thumb against his hand a bit* I do believe it...unfortunately not many people do, though...

Ed: That's just another reason I'm lucky that I somehow ended up with you..

Kane: *smiles a little and moves her hand to gently place it on his jaw* ...Ed...bend down some...-soIcankissyou-

Ed: -moves his hand to her waist and leans down a little-

Kane: *gently moves her thumb against his cheek and kisses him softly*

Ed: -kisses her back slowly, pulling her a little closer-

Kane: *moves slightly closer so she leans against him a bit, continuing to kiss him gently*

Ed: -wraps his arms around her waist, kissing her a bit deeper, sighing a little into the kiss-

Kane: *smiles a little and moves her hand against his jaw, gently stroking her fingers along his jaw and to his ear, kissing him warmly*

Ed: -continues to kiss her until he needs to breathe and pulls back only a little- I'm sorry...for acting crazy..

Kane: *pulls back slightly herself* dont apologize...*moves her hand against his skin gently* its fine....

Ed: -leans into her hand, closing his eyes for a moment- It will pass...I really am sorry for being such a jerk the last couple of days..

Kane: *gently moves her hand against his skin* its okay...I forgive you....-Iunderstandwhynow-

Ed: -takes a deep breath-...Thank you..

Kane: *nods, swallows* no need to thank me....

Ed: Yes, every need in the world.

Kane: *shakes her head silently, gently kisses him again, holding the kiss*

Ed: -kisses her back slowly, running his left hand up and down her back gently-

Kane: *curves her back a bit towards his his hand, softly moves her hand against his face*

Ed: -continues to kiss her a bit more passionately, stroking his hand over her back and up to her shoulders-

Kane: *supresses a small shiver and moves her hand down to his shoulder, gently running her hand across the top of it until the edge of his brace, keeps her hand there and continues to kiss him*

Ed: -rubs his hand gently over her shoulders before up to the back of her neck, running the tips of them lightly over her skin-

Kane: *rolls her shoulders towards his touch slightly and gently slides her hand down against the brace, over the leather strap, and to his waist, gently hooking her hand around his side*

Ed: Mm...-smiles a bit into the kiss before he has to pull back gently and breathe- I love you...

Kane: *smiles some and leans back a bit against his hands* I love you too, Ed...

Ed: -slides his hands up and down her back- I love hearing that..

Kane: *smiles* I love hearing you say it, as well...

Ed: Then I'll say it again -smiles- I love you, Kane.

Kane: *smiles a bit* I love you too, Ed. So much...*gently moves her hand up his side and back across the leather strap to his shoulder*

Ed: -leans down to kiss her forehead-..I never thought I'd be saying that..

Kane: *smiles a bit* me, either...to anybody...-aftermybrother-

Ed: I certainly never thought..I'd be saying it here...

Kane: *smiles a bit* I'm...glad you can...

Ed: So am I...very much...

Kane: *moves towards him and gently moves her arm around his waist, resting her head against his right shoulder, gently nuzzles her head against him*

Ed: -hugs her gently, kissing the top of her head-...this is...well..I'm astounded I'll admit..

Kane: *tilts her head up a bit to look at him* astounded about what? -thatIloveyou?-

Ed: Well..that we've said this to each other...

Kane: *smiles a little* I...I know...I understand that...I could hardly believe it, initially...

Ed: It is...a little hard to proccess...

Kane: ...*holds the smile* I agree...

Ed: But it is amazing...

Kane: Definitely....probably one of the best things I can recall, now...

Ed: It is...-smiles softly-

Kane: *nods a bit and nestles a bit against his chest*

Ed: -strokes her back gently-
