The Official Rules

1.) Read the rules, follow the rules, pay attention to the rules!

2.) Respect all members. Anyone caught ignoring this rule will be immediately suspended for a period of time. If it happens again, it will be for good. (Now, teasing all in good fun is a different story…)

3.) Respect staff decisions. If you believe a decision was made improperly, or unfairly, you may contest it. However, don’t be a jerk, and the final call is made by staff members.

4.) No godmodding, this should be obvious.

5.) No powerplaying! Even if you’re a homunculi you are not infallible and are not allowed to win every battle, if there is a specific need for you to win a battle discuss it with a mod and the character you’re fighting with, if it is not absolutely necessary allow the RP to play out and simply let whatever happens, happen.

6.) Literacy is important in an RP, especially one based entirely on typed entries! Everyone makes mistake but if you are not comfortable with your ability to spell please use a spell check and do your best to use proper grammar. There will be absolutely no chat-speak in any posts taking place in the actual RP, it’s a no-no, just don’t do it, and please have the courtesy to type correctly, none oF tHiS. Please note, no one speaks in a perfectly grammatically correct manner so if you’re character has poor grammar in dialogue it is perfectly legit.

7.) OC’s may not have attempted human transmutation in their back story, it may happen in-RP only with staff’s expressed approval. (Special exceptions may apply.)

8.) Canon characters should be CANON. Now, I want everyone to feel free to make each character their own in some small way but if you’re playing a canon, keep them canon i.e. Edward is not a slut, Alphonse is not a conniving little bastard, and Roy Mustang is not secretly a woman.

9.) Which brings us to rule nine, cursing is absolutely allowed in RP because people, especially some of the canons, do curse but use it in context and don’t curse directly at other members. Also, keep in mind the site’s PG-13 rating.

10.) Homosexuality in any fashion (Gay/Bi/Lesbian) is acceptable and welcomed. Please if you plan to make a canon character gay discuss the reasoning with a moderator. All three mods must accept it and if it is not approved please don’t make a fuss over it. Any and all discrimination for sexuality against a user, in or out of character, whether it be against being gay or straight WILL BE PUNISHED. If it is necessary for a post discuss it with the user and make sure you aren’t hurting anyone’s feelings.

11.) And that of course, brings us to rule eleven: no explicit material. We, as staff, do not mind if explicit relations are necessary for your characters; however, we wish to comply with ProBoard’s terms of service, which state clearly nothing of sexual nature may be posted. We ask you to consult a mod if it is necessary for your character’s and if they deem so please move to an outside server (E-mail, Livejournal, or otherwise). Also, to comply with state and country laws we ask that if you are under the age limit for your area please do not even ask to be involved in something sexually explicit.

12.) Please regarding the previous rules and for other reasons, read the disclaimers.

13.) Characters may only be killed with the permission of both the killer and the one to be killed; all canon characters should discuss it with a mod! If you simply wish to leave us you don’t have to die, we can have someone adopt, okay?

14.) No human alchemy without explicit staff permission.

15.) Activity checks will be put out when the staff feels necessary.

16.) Don’t be stupid when it comes to electronics, this is still very early in both Germany and Amestris. If you’re unsure, please ask someone.

17.) FUN!...We should all be having fun.

18.) NEVER BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS! We will always do our best to answer them accordingly.

Any and all rules may be subject to change. If this occurs though, we will surely alert you of it.
